District Positions

In addition to the individual school chair positions, Home & School has several district level positions that oversee the business and many events in the district. If you are interested in any of the positions below, please contact info@moorestownhsa.org. If you are interested in any of the other positions that currently have been slated, you may find them in the calendar and inquire about them as well!

  • Communications VP- Board of Trustees position managing Monday email communication, all social media (currently Facebook & Instagram), website administration & maintenance, membership administration and calendar creation & distribution (Some committee level positions are created to include others to execute a portion of these responsibilities) For a full description, please contact info@moorestownhsa.org.

  • Boosterthon Chairs (2) - District level chairs needed to organize, plan and execute the Boosterthon fundraiser held at the 3 lower schools, and Upper Elementary School. School chairs are also provided to assist with the execution of the fundraising event. For a full description, please contact info@moorestownhsa.org.

  • Book Fair Chair (1) - District level chair who has previously been a book fair chair at any of the Moorestown schools to help school book fair chairs communicate with Scholastic, manage finances, and assist during all book fairs where needed.

Moorestown Apparel Store

The Moorestown Apparel Store is NOW OPEN! This spring, our selection includes t-shirts, sweatshirts, joggers, jackets and more! The store will be open until Friday, 5/5.

Please note: Turnaround time is approximately two weeks from 5/5, not from your purchase date. Direct home delivery only. All sales are final. Items are custom ordered and no refunds or exchanges can be provided. Thank you for your understanding.

MHS

Senior Scholarships

Moorestown Home & School is distributing five (5) $1000 scholarships to outgoing Moorestown High School seniors this year. Applications will be accepted from now until 4/28/23 at 11:59pm. Please fill out your application here: 2023 Scholarships

MHS 2023-2024 Chairs

WAMS

Home & School Class of 2027 Parent Representatives


Please consider volunteering to be a Class of 2027 H&S parent representative at the high school starting this September. It is a four-year position, starting with the class as 9th graders and continuing through 12th grade. Please contact Erin at mhs@moorestownhsa.org for more information.


7th Grade S.T.E.M. Career Day - We still need volunteers!!


The Moorestown Home and School Association is excited to collaborate with WAMS to bring a S.T.E.M. Career Day for 7th grade students on Friday, May 5th from 1:00pm to 2:45pm. This is a great opportunity for you to help students understand how exciting and rewarding careers built from S.T.E.M. skills can be! We are seeking up to 24 volunteers who will develop and present interactive sessions to three groups of rotating students. Please complete this Sign-Up Genius (link) to volunteer your time and experience for this event.


This will be a hands-on, fun-filled afternoon for all of our 7th graders.Thank you in advance for your help to make this day a success – we cannot make this happen without community support. Home & School Meeting

We will not be holding our meeting this month on April 21st as scheduled. Our next meeting will be Friday, May 12 at 9:30 in the cafeteria. Call-in information will be provided as well.

BAKER

Baker Science Day

The Baker H&S committee is excited to support the 13th Annual Science Day on Friday, April 21st, 2023. This is a hands-on, fun-filled day for all of our students to engage in S.T.E.A.M. activities. Kindergarten presentations will be from 11am-11:45am; First, Second and Third grade presentations (2 for each class) will be from 1:30pm-3:15pm. We are seeking volunteers who will develop and present interactive sessions. This is a great opportunity for you to share your love of S.T.E.A.M. to our youngest learners. Recess Runners

Spring Recess Runners sign-up is located here. There are still openings in May to help count laps for the students.

Baker Home & School Meeting

Please join us for our next H&S meeting in the Baker Cafeteria and online at 9:30am on Wednesday, April 19th. A link will be sent by the Baker principal.

Our third graders will be "Glowing Out in Style" at the 3rd Grade Dance on 5/19 from 6:30-8 pm! Third Graders in Baker, Roberts and South Valley are welcome to choose their special grown up guest (parent, guardian, family member/friend, etc) to celebrate with during the evening. (This is not a drop off event.)


Guests are encouraged to wear semi-formal attire with bright colors or whites and neons to help them “glow through the night”.

Tickets will be on sale today 4/17 through Friday, 5/19 at 12pm. There will be no ticket sales at the door. Thank you for understanding. A volunteer/snack signup genius will be available closer to the event.

Roberts Slate

Roberts H&S Meeting


Roberts home and school meeting will be on April 20 at 9:30. We will be on zoom and in person in the library! We hope to see you there!!

SOUTH VALLEY

Home & School Meeting

Reminder, we will not be having a Home and School meeting in April. Our next meeting will be held on Tuesday, 5/16 at 9:30am in the cafeteria. Ms. Hackl will send out a virtual link prior to the meeting.


Recess Runners


Recess Runners is starting at South Valley right after Spring Break! The weather is getting nicer and it's the perfect opportunity to spend time with your child during the school day while helping students log their laps! Sign up for a Tuesday or Thursday recess period. Please only sign up for two dates initially. Volunteers cannot bring younger children with them to Recess Runners.


3rd Grade Memory Book


Calling all 3rd grade parents! Please send a baby picture of your 3rd grader as well as pictures of their years at South Valley. (Class parties, remote learning, 1st day of school etc) Please send all photos to sv3memories@gmail.com and be sure to include your child’s name with the photos. Thanks!

Mission Voice together with Quaker Wealth Management 5K Race/1 Mile Fun Walk on 4.29.23 (Strawbridge Lake)

The Mission Voice and Quaker Wealth Management 5K Race/1 Mile Fun Walk is being held on 4.29.23 to benefit the Moorestown Parks and Recreation programs for individuals with special needs.


100% of the proceeds from the race will benefit the Moorestown Parks and Recreation programs for individuals with special needs, which benefits 300+ children and young adults.

Mission Voice, a 501©(3) nonprofit organization was founded by the O’Donnell family of Moorestown whose son Daniel is a senior at Moorestown High School. Daniel has Down Syndrome and uses an iPad to communicate effectively. The organization helps individuals with special needs find their voice and place in the community. This year Mission Voice will partner with Quaker Wealth Management, a local Moorestown business to help with fundraising and community outreach. You can help support this race by participating, donating, or sponsoring.
