MHS Home & School Meeting

There will be no rescheduled MHS Home & School meeting in March.  Please join us at our next scheduled meeting on Wednesday, April 17, at 9:30 am, in the STAR Center or virtually.

 

Home & School Scholarships for Graduating Seniors

Moorestown Home & School Association will be giving five $1000 scholarships to graduating Moorestown High School seniors.  If interested in applying, please go to moorestownhsa.org/scholarships-1

 

WAMS


STEM Career Day

The Moorestown Home and School Association is excited to collaborate with WAMS to bring a S.T.E.M. Career Day for 7th and 8th grade students on Friday, May 3rd from 7:30AM to 9:30AM. This is a great opportunity for you to help students understand how exciting and rewarding careers built from S.T.E.M. education can be! We are seeking up to 35 volunteers who will develop and present interactive sessions to three groups of rotating students. Please complete this signup to volunteer: WAMS STEM Career Day

Parent Workshop: Understanding Verbal Interventions with Mindy Hall, School Counselor

 Save the date! Home and School invites you to join us for an online parent workshop with Mindy Hall, our Roberts School Counselor, on Monday March 25 at 6:00. Participants will learn best practice communication skills to be supportive with interventions to de-escalate potential conflict situations. This event will be virtual. A link will be sent prior to the workshop. Come join us for a great night of learning and connection!

Book Fair

 It’s BOOK FAIR time at South Valley! Get ready to add some out of this world books to your home library at South Valley’s Blast off to the Book Fair from Monday, March 18th to Friday, March 22nd.  Mark your calendars for some fun and shopping together with your children at Family Shopping Hours, Thursday,  March 21st from 5:30pm to 7:30pm!

More information about the book fair will be coming home with your child soon. You can also visit the book fair website  or scan the QR code below to learn more about the fair, sign up for eWallet digital payment and shop the fair online. Be on the lookout for Parent Volunteer opportunities in your email!

Moorestown Library

On Saturday, March 23, 10:00am-11:00am please stop by the Moorestown Library for a revolutionary program, More than Yankee Doodle: Music of the American Revolution

Join Matthew Skic, Curator of Exhibitions at the Museum of the American Revolution in Philadelphia, for a fun and interactive exploration of the military music of the American Revolution. Playing fife and drum, Matthew will recreate the music that was played in army camps and in battle during America’s fight for liberty.  This program is for all ages and requires no registration.

 

SpEAC

Come join us for our monthly meeting Thursday 3/28 9:30am at the Moorestown High School Star building.  There will be a virtual option also.  If your child has an IEP or a 504 Plan, you should attend!

 

SpEAC (Special Education Advocacy Council) is a parent-run organization that provides a forum to discuss important challenges facing our children in the Moorestown schools and community.
